Without getting into the specifics of this case, two things spring to mind here.
Firstly, although Amarria Auxilia are supporters of PIE, we do not have any input in their recruitment policies.
Secondly, even the most vicious of terrorists and pirates are not beyond redemption. It is the wish of true Amarrians everywhere that criminals can be rehabilitated and returned into society as loyal subjects of the Emperor.

/me pretending to be a member of PIE... "Hey guys I'm bored of being a defender of the amarr I'm gonna kill some hapless miners."
another member of pie "Sure thing after it done come back to the temple, give me ten hail mary's and your redemend and we can pretend it never happened."
I personally find this rather insulting. I lost track of the amount of time I spent tackling prates in Sarum Prime back in the days when it was a .4 system.
PIE has a long history of thwarting pirates. Indeed, just a few weeks ago we engaged a pirate corporation in PRM space. Pirates which the Minnies were either unable or unwilling to deal with themselves.
I also notice that one prominent Minmatar "freedom fighter" recently defected to a pirate corporation before returning to his roots. Perhaps you would care to explain this?
And if you really thought redemption was that simple, why don't you surrender to us so we can tell you what you pennance is?

So everyone is redeamable except the freedom fighters?
Even terrorists are redeemable. All you need to do is, submit to the will of the Emperor, accept your punishment like a man, and make an effort to start along the road to enlightenment.

Originally by: Horatio Starkiller I doubt he needs redemption from 'your' emperor for it is obvious by his sec status that he has already re-deemed himself in the eyes of the security forces of the empires... are you gonna say they were wrong?
As per my original post, I'm not qualified to discuss this specific case, as I do not know all of the ins and outs of his history.
However, we do have extensive re-education facilities, as you will find out if you ever surrender to us.

Originally by: Padaxes I would like to point out that my post was less concerned with the allegations themselves but more with the fact that PIE stands proud denouncing piracy on one hand and partakes slavery on the other hand which is a far worse crime on a larger scale.
Indeed I acknowledged PIEs anti pirate stance and pointed out that we also fight pirates whenever we find them. My issue was the hypocracy involved in your selective morality.
We are all slaves in one way or another. Amarrian loyalists are slaves to the Emperor and to God. Adopted Minmatar workers are slaves to their employers. And you, you are a slave to envy, anarchy, barbarity and your base emotions.
